Episode 5 “Name, Please?”

Episode 5 - What's In a Name?

Hope you weren’t expecting to see a knock-down drag-out fight between The Devil, Gandhi, and Zombie Mr. DeFazio.  Get used to random shifts in plot and non sequiturs  in this webcomic.  I’ve hit my 5th episode by the way.  My confidence is building that I can get to 12 episodes and then print a 12-episode collected issue to give away at SPX (Small Press Expo) and maybe sell on the old Etsy shop.  I will keep you up to date. Thanks for dropping by.

Episode 3 “The Return”

Episode 3

So, what exactly did those sexy She-Devils do to poor Mr. DeFazio in Episode 1?  Well, they didn’t give him a happy ending, that’s for sure.  Is it pandering to stick a zombie episode into this webcomic so early?  I think not.  I was watching In Search Of and Arthur C. Clarke’s Mysterious World go looking for zombies back in the 80’s.  But who am I to argue with a trend, right?  Hope you enjoyed.  Thanks for stopping by to check out this episode.

Episode 2 “The Plunge”

The Devil and Mr. Gandhi

Hello, Devil Worshipers & Gandhi Groupies!  This comic is the landmark “sophomore” comic for this burgeoning webcomic.  This was truly a hurdle and a milestone.  Sure, I “said” I was going to make this an ongoing webcomic, updated Tuesdays and Thursday, but until I actually got the second comic under my belt and on time, I really wasn’t sure if this whole webcomic thing was going to work out.  Thankfully, with some coffee and Guinness and determination, I got it done, and here it is.  Enjoy!

Episode 2 – In Episode 1 you figured out that for some reason Gandhi and The Devil are living together in an apartment, and there was going to be some trouble coming up with rent money.  But now what has become of the Landlord and Super Mr. DeFazio? And just what kind of hotel will The Devil & Gandhi be running?

Episode 1 “In Medias Res”

The Devil and Mr. Gandhi

Okay, ladies and germs, this is it.  You may have seen some of the other comics I posted, but this is the official, “hard opening” first comic of The Devil and Mr. Gandhi.  I will post some even earlier carnations of this comic strip to give you an idea of how long this concept has been percolating in my brain.  Why now, you might ask?  Well, besides getting a little “long in the tooth,” I also happened to find a Twitter friend by the name of Adam Pilkington, one half of the brilliant webcomic Crosstown [CHECK IT OUT!].

Adam happened to reach a Twitter follower milestone and offered to make me a fan art / commission of some kind.  I told him to check out my Devil and Gandhi comics and to do something on that, half-promising to reboot my attempt to make it an actual webcomic.  Well, lookee what he done made!  It’s God-damned brilliant.  I was giggling like school girl looking at it. I felt compelled to make the comic now.

Art by Adam Pilkington

I was so inspired by the art that I incorporated (at least some of) it into my first strip.  So, thanks Adam, and thanks to anyone else who stops by the webcomic.  I will need to foot-up-ass motivation some time to time, and I will be playing around with the art style, format, and length until I get into a good rhythm.  Hope you stick around to see more!
